F1 will turn to Mexico this weekend to host the second part of the triple-header and the 2024 edition of the Mexico City Grand Prix. The sport has been racing in Mexico since the 2015 season and has raced here every year ever since apart from 2020 when it did not travel to the North American continent due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The weekend could prove critical in terms of both championships, given Ferrari's unpredicted success at the Circuit of the Americas last weekend. They took home maximum points and finished 1-2, with Charles Leclerc leading Carlos Sainz.
However, there are expectations that the tide might swing towards Red Bull and Max Verstappen given their prowess at the track, having won three previous editions at the Mexico City Grand Prix. But the weather will play its part as well given the track's high altitude.
