This weekend is the DP World Tour Championship, which concludes the 2024 season. When the 2025 season begins, it will not follow the same exact format the prior one did. There are a few changes being made to the schedule for next year, a few of which are fairly unexpected.
Golf as a whole has changed recently, with some adjustments being driven by LIV Golf's arrival. The European Tour isn't lightening the load, however. In fact, it is increasing the total number of events to 46, which even exceeds the total number of FedExCup events on the PGA Tour's schedule (36). The tour will also visit 26 countries across the season.
