Despite losing a key piece from their dynasty this summer, the Golden State Warriors find themselves in the top five of the Western Conference, exceeding expectations, but one former champion feels their window has closed.
On Monday, three-time champion Danny Green, on FanDuel TV's Run It Back show, discussed about Steph Curry and the Warriors' play through the first six weeks of the year.
Green applauded the Warriors for how they've played and their brand of basketball but feels their days on contending for titles are behind them.
"Their window for contention is closed," Green said. "They're a good team, better than I expected to be to start out. They're starting to come down to Earth a little bit. To me, I just don't think the window of contention is there for them."
