Daniel Ricciardo joked that Max Verstappen was 'most likely to steal lunch' amidst a host of F1 drivers. Ricciardo, who is a former teammate of the Dutchman, named the latter in a media interaction ahead of the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix in Nevada this weekend.
Ricciardo and Verstappen raced together at Red Bull in the 2016 F1 season. They stayed as teammates till the end of the 2018 season, after which the Australian driver parted ways and switched to Renault.
From Renault, he moved to McLaren in 2020 before returning to Red Bull as a reserve driver in 2023. Aside from the heated 2018 season, Verstappen and Ricciardo share an amicable relationship. During their time as teammates, the duo often joked about each other and had fun as they traveled to different countries to race.
