Ex-Jets HC believes Aaron Rodgers is on a kamikaze mission | Image Source: Getty
It's Week 17, but the Aaron Rodgers saga appears nowhere close to a resolution. All year, there have been several reports detailing the dysfunction in the franchise, from billionaire franchise owner Woody Johnson turning down a Jerry Jeudy trade due to a low Madden rating to suggesting that the Jets bench Rodgers to elicit a reaction from the locker room.
There has been no shortage of headlines around the franchise, but Rodgers appears unfazed with the attention. This week, the four-time NFL MVP fuelled further speculation on The Pat McAfee Show, saying that he has never been cut by a teenager, referring to another bombshell report on the Jets.
Former Jets coach Eric Mangini believes it's just Aaron Rodgers' way of ensuring he gets cut by the team this summer.
“Aaron’s doing everything he can to get cut. The fact he brought the fact he has never been cut by a teenager. That’s a direct shot at the owner. That’s legitimizing everything that has been said about the organization that’s making fun of how dysfunctional it is," Mangini said on The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
