Adelaide United are enjoying a dream start to the new season. They are the only team amongst the 13 in the top flight who are yet to concede a loss this term. The hosts have won five matches out of eight, drawing three, which leaves them second in the standings with 18 points – one point behind the top spot.
The Reds have won the Championship and the Premiership once, in 2016. Last season they finished 18th, but the mood seems very positive thus far in this campaign. They could snatch the top spot if they win and if first-placed Auckland FC stumble against Central Coast Mariners in Gosford.
