A number of teams are still interested in signing Alex Bregman but the 2x All-Star is yet to sign a deal. As per reports, the Boston Red Sox have been particularly interested in acquiring the services of the third baseman and are ready to offer him a contract.
Signing Alex Bregman would fix two crucial things for the Red Sox, as per former New York Mets General Manager Jim Duquette. Speaking on the MLB Network Radio, Duquette said:
"Their one big issue that they haven't addressed yet is their infield defense. They also need a right handed bat. So those two things could be accomplished with one signing, I think, and that's get Bregman, and you move Devers to first, like, I think you get better at both places."
