Chelsea and Arsenal suffer massive blow for January
Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly suffered a transfer blow as Alexander Isak has decided to stay at Newcastle United until the end of the season. The striker is said to be uninterested in moving to the London clubs in January and is keen on helping the Magpies finish the season on a high.
As per a report in The Sun, Isak is desperate to play in the UEFA Champions League but is keeping his options open until the end of the season. He is keen on getting more goals under his belt this season after netting 11 in 16 league matches so far.
Isak also spoke about his future earlier this season. He stressed that he was not concerned about the rumors and said:
"Throughout my career, I have never talked about or really commented on the move rumours during the season. There have been many such years where it has been talked about. It doesn’t affect me. I am commenting on my situation in Newcastle, and I have never had any problem there. I am fully focused on my task there and that we will have a fantastic season. There are still great opportunities for that. I have no thoughts about anything else."
