Carlo Ancelotti and Hansi Flick
Hansi Flick's Barcelona are reportedly close to completing the signing of Real Madrid target Jonathan Tah, as per Matteo Moretto of Relevo, via Managing Barca's X. The LaLiga giants are unlikely to make moves in the January transfer window due to financial struggles and Fair Play woes.
They have also failed to register Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo, who joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2024. Nevertheless, La Blaugrana are getting ready to offload some players and sign a few new stars in the summer. Jonathan Tah's contract with Bayer Leverkusen will expire in the summer of 2025.
The German defender has entered the last six months of his contract and can sign a pre-contract agreement with another club. According to the aforementioned report, the club will try to close the deal in a few days, with Barcelona expected to offer him a three-year contract.
