Barnsley are coming off successive wins, seeing off Bolton Wanderers 2-1 and Peterborough United 3-1 on the road. They are seventh with 36 points in 23 games. They are yet to reach the League One play-offs qualification zone.
The Reds finished sixth last season and played the play-offs but were knocked out by Bolton. One of Barnsley’s major issues this term has been their porous defence, which has let in 32 goals against 34 scored. They have also not fared better at home, as they are winless in five matches.
