Woody Johnson has had a rough decade as the owner of the New York Jets. Year after year, analysts, fans and announcers write off the team. Year after year, their low expectations are proven correct. Once again, despite getting Aaron Rodgers to play this season, the Jets are in as dark of a place as they have ever been.
There's been plenty of opportunities for Johnson to lose his cool and while 2023 and 2024 have offered plenty of chances for the owner to call out his players, it was a backup quarterback in 2022 that set him over the edge. According to a report from The Athletic published on Thursday, Johnson lost his cool talking to an injured Mike White.
According to the article, the quarterback had been dealing with a rib injury. After losing their last-gasp effort, White threw his helmet across the locker room.
