It has all gone downhill for the New York Rangers this season after winning the President's Trophy in 2023-24. They are 3-11 in their last 14 games and had embarrassing defeats during the stretch, including a 2-0 loss on Tuesday to the Nashville Predators who have the worst record in the league.
This has prompted rumors that New York has lost confidence in its general manager, Chris Drury. Rumors of possible replacements have also emerged if the front office executive is let go. The latest name to be included is former Rangers winger Sean Avery.
As per Paul Bissonnette on Barstool Sports' "Spitting Chiclets" podcast, Avery, who is a passionate fan of the Rangers, has flown to New York to personally meet with team owner James Dolan.
