Bochum and Heidenheim square off in the German Bundesliga on Sunday
The German Bundesliga returns with a fresh set of fixtures as Bochum and Heidenheim square off at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion on Sunday. Frank Schmidt’s men will head into the weekend desperate to get one over the visitors, having failed to win their last seven meetings since September 2018.
Bochum continue to struggle for results at the wrong end of the Bundesliga table as they played out a 1-1 draw with Union Berlin at the An der alten Försterei last Saturday.
Dieter Hecking’s side remain the only side yet to taste victory in the league this season, losing 11 and claiming just three draws from their 14 matches so far. With just three points from a possible 42, Bochum are rooted to the bottom of the Bundesliga table, 11 points away from safety.
