Former 12-year NBA veteran Patrick Beverley was asked about the prospects of giving LA Lakers rookie Bronny James a hard time if they were teammates. Beverley jokingly concurred, recounting how James' father, Lakers superstar forward LeBron James, did the same to him early in his career.
Bronny, the 2024 NBA draft's No. 55 pick, has split his rookie campaign between LA and the franchise's NBA G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. Nevertheless, given the two-way contract guard's father's status as an all-time great, his every move has been scrutinized.
During Wednesday's episode of "The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone," Beverley weighed in on whether he would pester the high-profile rookie on the bench. The defensive-minded guard harkened back to trying to make the then-LeBron-led Miami Heat ahead of the 2010-11 season.
