Bryce Young may not be playing in the postseason yet, but he has already developed a reputation as a 'team-killer' - one that derails others' playoff hopes. But he has some reservations about his perceived reputation.
His Carolina Panthers have won just four games, but almost each of them has caused significant damage to their victims:
- 23-22 vs. New Orleans Saints - the Saints fired head coach Dennis Allen the day after
- 20-17 vs. New York Giants - the Giants benched, then released quarterback Daniel Jones
- 36-30 vs. Arizona Cardinals - the Cardinals were eliminated from playoff contention
That has led fans to call him the "Carolina Reaper," but Young revealed in a Tuesday presser that he had no idea it was even happening:
