Carlos Sainz's father Sainz Sr. is positive about his son's future team Williams Racing as he feels that they are showing an upward trend in development. Sainz will be replaced by Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari next year.
He gained some experience winning races and proved to be a competitive driver in his four seasons with the team. But as Hamilton was signed with the team, he was the clear choice to be replaced as his teammate Charles Leclerc already has a multi-year contract with the team.
After long speculation, he struck a deal with Williams Racing for the 2025 F1 season, partnering Alex Albon. The team is seemingly the polar opposite of Ferrari in terms of performance, but they could extract the most out of their car with Albon and Sainz. Sainz Sr. said while explaining Carlos' move to the team:
