The Carolina Panthers and the Philadelphia Eagles continued their seasons during Week 14 of the NFL season. The two teams are in totally different moods this year, with the Panthers struggling with a 3-9 record, while the Eagles are firmly in the fight for the first seed in the NFC.
Those who expected the home team to run up the score were surprised, though. Carolina put together an intense fight and led for most of the first half, with Philadelphia struggling with penalties and not doing much in the passing game. Chuba Hubbard was also dominant from the start.
With the Detroit Lions already winning on Thursday, the Eagles had absolutely no choice but to win this game to pursue the home-field advantage in the playoffs. They had to dig deep, but were able to finish the job late in the fourth quarter.
