Porto visit the island of Madeira on Friday to face off with CD Nacional in the Liga Portugal, as they aim to extend their winning run in the competition to four games.
The Azuis e Brancos finished 2024 on a strong note, beating Estrela da Amadora (2-0), Moreirense (3-0) and Boavista (4-0) on the bounce.
It helped them catch up with leaders Sporting CP, as both sides are currently on 40 points, but the former sit in first position courtesy of a superior goal difference.
But with Vitor Bruno's side in action first that day, they have a chance to provisionally move to the top of the table with a win, and maintain pressure on Sporting Lisbon.
