Washington Capitals goaltender Charlie Lindgren made his feelings known after a comical blunder led to an own goal during Wednesday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

In the third period, the Amalie Arena quickly became a source of laughter and bewilderment among fans. Lindgren stepped out of his crease to play the puck, intending to send it behind the net and around the boards.

However, he misplayed the puck, and it ended up in the back of the net, allowing the Lightning to take a 4-3 lead through a free goal.
