Former Super Bowl champion Chase Daniel opened up about Russell Wilson after the Steelers lost their match against the Chiefs on Christmas. On the big day, the Pittsburgh Steelers struggled with their game and lost to Kansas City 29-10.
Following the loss, fans were critical of Wilson's performance in the match and even expressed their frustration on social media. However, amidst this, former American footballer Chase Daniel blamed Wilson's late-season slump on the team's defense. He also said that the Steelers shouldn't lose faith in their QB.
In his recent interview with 'The Facility,' Daniel said:
"Since Week 12, that defense is allowed 27.7 points per game. Not good. 27.7 points a game. So when you're on offense, in your quarterback, and you know your defense is not playing well, and you know their defense is not the Pittsburgh Steelers defense of older, what we're used to, sometimes you press and when you press his quarterbacks, you make bad plays. That's what I think is happening with Russell Wilson."
