Former world champion Nico Rosberg's father Keke Rosberg claimed that Michael Schumacher's antics at the 2006 Monaco GP were the "cheapest, dirtiest" thing he's ever seen in F1. The then-Ferrari driver was embroiled in a mighty tussle with then-Renault driver and reigning champion Fernando Alonso for the title.
Heading into the Monaco GP, the German driver knew that he had to get one up over the young Spaniard in qualifying. This was because the latter had taken pole position in the previous two races and was aware of the significance of starting at the front in the Principality.
He was successful in his pursuit of his goal as he took the P1 from his rival but how he achieved it did not sit well with many in the sport.
