Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer broke another club record with a goal for the Blues in their 1-2 home loss to Fulham in the Premier League on Boxing Day. The England international ended a two-game mini-drought by opening the scoring for his side with his 26th league goal of 2024.

Palmer has been a revelation since moving to Chelsea from Manchester City in the summer of 2023, and he further strengthened his legacy at Stamford Bridge against Fulham. His goal in the 16th minute of the tie made him the club's top scorer in a single calendar year in the league, eclipsing the total of 25 scored by Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink in 2001.

Earlier this year, Cole Palmer broke the club's record, also set by Hasselbaink, for most league goal contributions in a calendar year. The 22-year-old midfielder has now scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 18 Premier League games this season and has scored 26 league goals this calendar year.
