Chicago Blackhawks star forward Connor Bedard said he was disappointed by the firing of coach Luke Richardson. Chicago decided to part ways with the coach on Thursday after an 8-16-2 start to the season.

Richardson had been the Blackhawks' coach since June 2022 and went 57-118-15. Following the firing, Bedard said it was sad to see Richardson go, as the two had a good relationship.
