Detroit Red Wings coach Derek Lalonde made his feelings known about Lucas Raymond's failed attempt to clear the puck in their 5-4 overtime loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday.
Raymond failed to clear the zone on PK and Lalonde pointed out that the issue wasn't the penalty kill but rather a mistake in execution by the 23-year-old winger.
Lalonde said (8:16):
"It wasn't a (PK) structure (issue) today. It was a mis-clear, and Lucas Raymond is going to be an all-star type player. In this, he misses a clear. We will give him the message, but that's just an execution, so we got two kills after that."
