While the Boston Bruins played out their centennial game against the Montreal Canadiens at TD Garden, their NBA counterparts, the Celtics, were on the road at the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bruins were paid a tribute by Celtics shooting guard Derrick White on the sidelines.
White missed the game against the Cavs and was rested, as he suffered an injury in the second half of the Celtics' 138-129 win against the Chicago Bulls in the NBA Cup. It is still unclear about the nature of the injury but it was enough for White to sit out the game in Cleveland.
However, White's attire turned out to be a special attraction. The defensive stronghold wore the iconic Bruins black and gold and honored the 100 years of the club. Specifically, he wore winger David Pastrnak's #8 jersey.
