Italian golfer Edoardo Molinari has secured his spot on the DP World Tour after topping the Q-school leaderboard. Only the top 20 or tied players were to receive their DP World Tour cards in the qualifying matches.
Eventually, the tournament stretched for seven days with the final round on Wednesday delayed by a day due to weather conditions and 21 golfers making the cut into the European circuit. Molinari had finished the 2024 Race to Dubai in the 140th position. His Q-school victory is a much-needed bounceback for him.
Swedish golfer Niklas Lemke gave tough competition to Molinari and the contest between them came down to the wire. The Italian finished 29-under and capped the victory with a one shot lead over Lemke.
