Elliotte Friedman reveals latest on J.T. Miller trade rumor, participation in 4 Nations Face-Off (Credits: IMAGN)
J.T. Miller has not played since Nov. 17. He has been taking time for personal reasons and has missed the last seven games. During that time, some teams have inquired about potentially trading for the star player, perhaps thinking a change of scenery might benefit Miller.
The New York Rangers (13-10-1) recently inquired about reacquiring Miller. However, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman doesn't believe a trade will happen, citing his 4 Nations Face-Off status as proof.
"I do not believe JT Miller has asked for a trade," Friedman said via Sportsnet. "It is a huge vote of confidence in his game that Team USA took him as planned even though he is on hiatus."
