The New Orleans Saints received some distressing news in Week 14. They ran away with a 14-11 win against the hapless New York Giants but that win came at a cost after starting quarterback Derek Carr suffered a major injury.
Carr fractured his non-throwing hand and is expected to be out for the next three to four weeks. In an effort to shore up their ranks, the Saints have turned to former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Ben DiNucci.
The Cowboys initially drafted DiNucci in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He then bounced around with the Denver Broncos and was signed to the Buffalo Bills practice squad, though they did not sign him to the active roster.
