Ex-Phillies GM predicts Trea Turner and Bryson Stott’s fielding positions if Alex Bregman joins at 2B - Source: Imagn
The Philadelphia Phillies have been relatively quiet when it comes to spending this offseason. They have a one-year agreement with reliever Jordan Romano and Max Kepler but haven't done much else.
Third baseman Alex Bregman is on the free agent market, and on Thursday's 'The Phillies Show,' former GM Ruben Amaro Jr. discussed the possibility of Bregman signing with the club. He also addressed subsequent defensive moves in the lineup.
"I mean, in a perfect world, I’d sign the guy and put him at second, move Turner to center field, and move Stott to short," Amaro Jr. said (from 28:05 onwards). "Let’s go! I mean, listen, that’s very unrealistic, but if I could wave a wand and do that, I think it would make this team a brilliant team."
