According to The Virginian-Pilot, Michael Vick, a former NFL quarterback and Virginia native, said Monday that he had interviewed for the head coaching position at Norfolk State. Vick played 13 seasons in the NFL and then became an NFL analyst for Fox Sports.
Vick reportedly spoke to Norfolk State's president and athletic director and expects a resolution soon. The article online posted by The Virginian-Pilot said:
“Vick said Norfolk State officials reached out to him and that he is intrigued by the potential opportunity of giving back to the Hampton Roads community that has long supported him.”
