Pete Carroll was ejected as the coach of the Seattle Seahawks after the team's declining performance forced the owners to move Carroll out of the locker room and into an advisory role within the organization.
Carroll served as the team's head coach for 14 years and also has a Super Bowl to his name. In January, the team announced that Carroll would remain with the team as an advisor. Following the announcement, Caroll said in a presser that he had tried to stay on, but in the end, went with Seahawks team owner Jody Allen's decision.
"I competed pretty hard to be the coach. ... I went along with their intentions," Caroll said.
