After the 2024 season came to a close, New York Mets slugger Pete Alonso became a free agent. The four-time All-Star is looking for a big-time contract after six seasons in the Big Apple.
Alonso and his agent Scott Boras are reportedly searching for a deal upward of $200 million. While that is quite the number, Alonso is one of the best first basemen in the league.
During his six seasons in New York, Alonso has been a feared hitter. He has played in 848 games and hit .249/.339/.514 with 226 home runs and 586 runs batted in.
