Genk will host Anderlecht at the Cegeka Arena on Sunday afternoon in another round of the 2024-25 Belgian Pro League campaign. The hosts will be keen to return to winning ways this weekend to maintain their place at the top of the league table.
Genk suffered their fourth loss of the season in a 2-0 defeat away to defending champions Club Brugge last weekend. The hosts lead the Belgian top-flight by a narrow one point following their recent drop in form and will need to put up a winning display this weekend as failure to do so could see them drop to second place.
Anderlecht’s recent form of five wins and a draw in their last six matches have seen them rise up to third on the league table. The record Pro League champions made it four wins in the last four with a comfortable 2-0 victory over St. Truidense last weekend and will be looking to continue their impressive form against the league leaders on Sunday.
