Former Yankees infielder, Gleyber Torres signed a one-year, $15 million deal with the Detroit Tigers earlier this week. The 28-year-old Venezuelan played seven years in the Bronx and won the AL pennant with the Yankees in 2024.
Despite failing to win the World Series with the Bronx Bombers, Torres had a successful season wherein he excelled in both departments of the game. Capping off his time with the Yankees and looking towards brighter horizons, Gleyber Torres took to social media to pen a heartfelt note.
The caption on his post read:
"Grateful for the opportunities. New beginnings ahead, Stepping into a new era with excitement and purpose. Let’s Go Tigers"
