The LA Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees in the Fall Classic over five games to win their second World Series in four years and the eighth overall in franchise history. While World Series MVP Freddie Freeman and Japanese superstar Shohei Ohtani took the spotlight after their triumph, infielder Tommy Edman was one of the unsung heroes for the team in the postseason.
However, his heroics didn't go unnoticed as the reigning World Series winners signed the 29-year-old to a five-year, $74 million extension in the offseason in November.
Edman took to Instagram to show appreciation for the extension, captioning his post:
"Lots to be thankful for. Excited for these next five years in LA! God is good!"
