Davante Adams posted a vintage performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday to lead the New York Jets to only their fourth win of the season. The veteran wide receiver finished the game with nine receptions for 198 yards and two touchdowns after being targeted 12 times.
What made that performance more impressive is that Adams recorded zero receptions in the first half. During a conversation with Kay Adams on the "Up & Adams" show on Tuesday, Davante talked about his discreet first half, explaining the process of bouncing back in the second half.
"I guess I had to get my head out of my a** first and that helps when you do that. I had a drop earlier before the first half. And I got my hair pulled on the route so when I pulled my head back I couldn't really find the ball. Once we got back in there and got a few grabs stuff like this just begins to happen. Just need a few plays to unlock it," Adams said.
