Almost a week after announcing her engagement with fiancée Josh Allen, Hailee Steinfeld made her first official statement on the quarterback's proposal. Steinfeld expressed how she had “tears” of happiness in her eyes when Allen went down on his knee to propose to her.
In the #017 issue of her “Beau Society” newsletter, Hailee Steinfeld reflected back on her engagement and revealed behind-the-scenes details of it. Opening up about the "most magical day" of her life, the Bumblebee actress said:
"I’m engaged!! All the happy tears have just barely dried. Whenever we tell the story, look back at photos, or even say ‘We’re engaged’ or ‘We’re getting married’ I start crying. While I can’t wait to tell you more about the day and things we’re planning, I’m not ready quite yet. I have to hold this close for a little while longer."
