Hall of Famer gives Dak Prescott reality check over Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy | Image Source: Getty
The Dallas Cowboys stand little to no chance of making the playoffs this year as the noise and uncertainty grows around the future of head coach Mike McCarthy.
The headlines will always hover around whoever is seated in that chair but given McCarthy's lack of success in the postseason despite having Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and a resolute defense, his job is more uncertain now than in previous seasons. However, this week, Prescott backed McCarthy to return for another year of football in Dallas.
"I believe in him wholeheartedly," he told Yahoo! Sports' Jori Epstein. "I don't want to necessarily get into the nuts and the screws of it all obviously, but I think he definitely deserves a chance. Another contract and a chance to coach this team amongst more influence. 'On his terms' may be a good way to say it."
