Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko claimed that he was not happy with the Visa Cash App RB driver Liam Lawson's driving against Sergio Perez at the 2024 Mexican Grand Prix. The Kiwi driver once again displayed his feisty driving style in the main race, while he battled with the midfield cars along with Oscar Piastri and Sergio Perez, who were making their way from the back rows of the grid.
Starting from P12, Lawson moved up a place after his teammate Yuki Tsunoda crashed out on Turn 1 and found himself on the fringes of the points for most of the early part of the race.
However, Liam Lawson got a bit too feisty in his battle against Sergio Perez, which resulted in a damaged sidepod and floor for the home hero. Speaking about the incident to ESPN Mexico, the Red Bull advisor mentioned that the 21-year-old shouldn't have fought this hard, saying:
