The amateur golfers shone on the PGA Tour in 2024. 15 of these 22 players made the cut in the tournaments and would have earned around $4,263,930 in total. However, on the Tour, even after the amateur golfers win an event, they are not awarded any money and thus have not taken home anything.
Nick Dunlap has been one of the most successful amateur golfers on the Tour this year. He won the American Express at the start of the season and became the first amateur golfer on the Tour in 33 years to win a tournament. The prize money for the event was $1.5 million.
Another amateur golfer, who shone in 2024, is Luke Clanton. He made cuts in multiple tournaments throughout this season and recorded some impressive finishes. He was tied for second at the John Deere Classic, T37 at the ICSO Championship, fifth at the Wyndham Championship, and T2 at the RSM Classic.
