Real Betis visit the Estadio El Alcoraz on Saturday to take on Huesca in the round of 32 of the 2024-25 Copa Del Rey, also their first official game of 2025. Despite their league struggles, which currently see them languish in ninth position with only six wins from 18 games, the Andalusian outfit have had no issues in the cup.
Manuel Pellegrini's side began their campaign with a 6-1 drubbing of sixth-tier Gevora in the first round, with five different players getting on the scoresheet. They then beat fourth-tier Sant Andreu 3-1 in the next, courtesy of two late goals.
Since a 2-0 loss to Real Sociedad on 2 December, Betis have gone their next six official games unbeaten in all competitions, winning four. That should give them the momentum here, as they look to start the New Year with a bang.
