Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois shared his thoughts on playing against Cristiano Ronaldo in the past during the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai on December 27. The star Belgian shot-stopper received the Player Career Award at the 15th edition of the annual ceremony.
Ronaldo and Courtois joined CNN Sport’s Amanda Davies at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony over a discussion on current football events. The 32-year-old goalkeeper spoke about his journey of becoming one of the best footballers in the world.
Thibaut Courtois spoke about how he received an offer from Chelsea in 2011 after he started his senior career with his boyhood club Genk in Belgium. He was on loan to Atlético Madrid from 2011 to 2014 before joining Los Blancos in 2018.
