Liverpool star shares message from Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has revealed the message that former Red boss Jurgen Klopp sent him after his side's comeback win over Leicester City. The German tactician spent nine years with the Merseyside club before leaving in the summer to take a break from management.
Jones, who debuted under Klopp and played 132 games under the German, revealed he got a message from his former manager after the Boxing Day fixture. Speaking with The Metro after the game, the English midfielder revealed his former boss congratulated him on playing his 100th Premier League game, saying:
"It was Jurgen, I just came in then and we had a talk as a team, I went on my phone, we normally text family and stuff and I saw a text off Klopp and he said, ‘congrats on 100 games and here’s to 500."
