Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has laid down a challenge to his teammates on the back of their performance against Liverpool on Sunday. The Red Devils held the Premier League leaders to a 2-2 draw at Anfield, picking up a deserved point to end their losing streak.
Ruben Amorim's side were on a run of four successive defeats after their dramatic 2-1 win over rivals Manchester City in the derby on December 15. They lost to Tottenham Hotspur, Bournemouth, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Newcastle United ahead of facing runaway leaders Liverpool at Anfield.
Manchester United showed grit and quality to go toe-to-toe with arguably the best side in Europe this season. They were left feeling like they should have won the game. Bruno Fernandes issued a rallying cry to his teammates after the game, pointing out that such a performance ought to be churned out consistently.
