Jared McCain has been ruled out for the Philadelphia 76ers' game against the Charlotte Hornets on Monday. The rookie guard is out indefinitely after experiencing soreness in his left knee following the Sixers' 107-121 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Friday.
In a disappointing update for Philadelphia fans, the team announced that an MRI revealed a lateral meniscus tear in McCain’s left knee, sidelining the promising young talent.
"Jared McCain reported left knee soreness following last night’s game vs. Indiana," the Sixers said in a tweet. "An MRI today revealed a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee. The injury will require surgery and he is out indefinitely."
