Barcelona president Joan Laporta will reportedly sign an agreement with a Qatari fund, thereby solving their registration issues with Dani Olmo. The new economic lever reportedly deals with the sale of tickets for the VIP boxes at the revamped Camp Nou.
Barcelona signed Dani Olmo in the summer of 2024 for a reported €55 million from RB Leipzig. Due to financial constraints, the Catalan giants could only register him for the first half of the season owing to Andreas Christensen's long-term injury. However, his registration expires on December 31, 2024, and the club was struggling to renew it amid LaLiga's FFP constraints.
The big blow for Barcelona came when their appeal to Commercial Court No. 10 to secure a precautionary measure for re-registering Olmo was rejected by Judge Ignacio Fernandez de Senespleda.
