Joel Embiid returned to the starting lineup on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets wearing a black mask. The former MVP sat out Monday in the Philadelphia 76ers’ 121-108 win over the Charlotte Hornets because of a sinus fracture. Embiid had eight points and two assists in the first quarter to give his team a 41-23 lead.
The Process and his teammates struggled in the second quarter. After scoring 41 points, they could manage just 17 in the next period. Embiid was held to two points after a hot start. The 76ers took a 58-46 advantage heading into the halftime break.
