After Juan Soto announced his signing with the New York Mets, rumors swirled around how the New York Yankees may have mistreated his family. Earlier this month, there were reports that security had removed his parents from Yankee Stadium during a game in April or May.
The New York Post's Jon Heyman reported the slugger had negative feelings about the event. Many pointed to that as being one of the top reasons Soto signed with the Mets instead of coming back to the Bronx.
However, that does not seem to be the case. Coming from the man himself, he calls the alleged mistreatment of his family by the Yankees a lie, via ESPN's Enrique Rojas.
"That's a lie," said Soto.
