All-Star slugger Juan Soto's stardom has been on the rise ever since his World Series-winning campaign with the Washington Nationals in 2019. A record-breaking contract with the New York Mets in the offseason has only elevated his status as an MLB superstar.
The Mets were one of the favorites for Soto in his free agency but faced competition from cross-town rivals New York Mets after the Dominican star's career-best season with the Bronx Bombers in 2024.
However, Steve Cohen outmaneuvered their rivals to sign Soto for an MLB record $765 million contract over 15 years. Soto was unveiled as a Met last Thursday. In a video "Get to know Juan Soto" by the Mets' YouTube channel, Soto shared some unknown things about him while donning a Mets jersey.
