St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is congratulated by teammates after hitting a two-run home run against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium
MLB veteran first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is one of the hard-hitting free agents available on the market. Analyst Sean Casey believes that the Yankees will be interested in his services.
The former NL MVP has come to the end of his five-year, $130 million contract with the St. Louis Cardinals and is looking for a good fit in the twilight of his career.
Ex-Yankees coach and host of The Mayor's Office, Sean Casey, reckons Goldschmidt's addition to the Yankees lineup would be beneficial for both parties:
"It looks like the Yankees might be in on Goldschmidt. ... Don't forget, Juan Soto's numbers were no doubt inflated this year with Aaron Judge hitting behinnd him.
